This is a list aimed at helping build the case for getting suspend2 merged. It is also used by Nigel to gauge interest in features that are planned but not yet implemented, such as suspending to a network.
Nigel's recent attempts at getting suspend merged resulted in lots of "What do we need that feature for?" questions. Please help build the case for the ones you use or would like to see. Please don't make up names!

Alon Bar-Lev (loop-aes, EncryptedSwapAndRoot)

Jens Gustedt (encrypted partitions with LUKS [http://www.loria.fr/~gustedt/early/])
- Leandro Lucarella

- Michal Suchanek (I wish this was easy, inability to repartition the boot drive sucks)
Suspend-over-a-network support
- Martin Fahr, Michael Frank, Bernard Blackham and Martin Piayda intend to use it.
- Jonathan Black might use it in the future.
- Michael Pohl is waiting for it
- Paul Ionescu
- Bob Schilmoeller (To suspend/resume a diskless mythtv frontend!)
- Will Ashford

Bootsplash support
- Fabio Comolli
Ulrich Dobramysl & Ruben Jenster (I would if gentoo's fbsplash were supported.)
- Jos Dehaes (it works sort-of with gentoo's fbsplash, last time I tried, this was swsusp 2.1.0)
- Georg Greve and Benjamin Schallar would like to use it if they could figure out how to set it up properly on Debian GNU/Linux and if it worked reliably.

- Gary Sandine
- Aaron Rolett
- Lamarque Vieira Souza (fbsplash)
- Leandro Lucarella
- Jordi Nadal
SMP support
- Felix Maibaum
- Bastian Scholz
- Nico Schottelius
- Larry Reaves
- Paul Ionescu
- Nick Crabtree
- Robert Freund (with all the multi core cpus coming up even in laptops this is needed)
- Pat Double (Dell XPS Gen 1 laptop has a Pentium 4 hyper threaded CPU)
- Alon Bar-Lev (hyper threading)
- Nenad Antonić
- Karl Hegbloom
- Gary Sandine
- Lamarque Vieira Souza (multi core)
- Thanos Kyritsis

File Writer
- Rohan Dhruva
- Karl Hegbloom (can I suspend and resume to another file, suspend and resume to the first one?)
- Jens Gustedt (ocasionally)
- Jordi Nadal
- Michal Suchanek (might be easier to arrange than another swap file when swap is low)
